I wasn't a part of this last year but I checked out the thread using the link you posted, I ended up reading every single post from page one all the way through.  That sounds like fun to me, you guys crushed em'.  I can't wait for the water to soften up a bit, til it does I'll be pitching into coffee cups in the living room!

I checked my log from last year and the first bass was caught March 26 in a small local pond. I'm not so sure we will be able to break that record this year..

I think it will take a miracle to break that this year, but we can always hope right? My first bass last year was on April 6th also out of a small pond.

Different subject what the deepest on a NH lake you have caught bass? Drop shotting @40 ft for smallmouth on Winni for me.

 44ft bladed jig the thanksgiving day two years ago. It was unusually warm and the fish were biting !

Haha. Man, I think these guys are starting to get it. I'll be all over that jig/Craw stuff, too! I would go on record right now, and say that at least 7 of the 10 biggest fish caught in NH this year on these boards, will be on a Rage Craw. The only thing left to question, is are they all gonna be from me?

Just kidding, I hope I get one in that top ten. Mainebass whacked some giants last year too.

My first cast will be with a jig as well. I will also have a suspending jerkbait, a bladebait and a crankbait tied on as well.

 

The bragging rights contest should be interesting this year. Hopefully more people will be a part of it.

Oh, it's gonna be good! I kinda like the idea about New England, but I'm also open to more competition, so however you wanna roll, is fine with me. Count me in, Jitterbug.

I like the idea of a New England competition. It would be pretty cool if we got more guys to participate.

im just gonna chuck my tackle box in the water and see what the fish want. i hope to catch a contender for the competition and if so i will be apart from it. ive seen what some of you guys catch though. lol

If we get enough guys from New England to participate than we'll do that, I'm thinking at least 10. I have a really good feeling about this year, I think we are all going to get some SLOBS!

Oh and do you guys use rattles for these prespawn fish or not? Or does it not really matter?
