New Pb

Featured Replies

Caught my first 5lber. 5.3lbs to be exact. I told myself I was going to mount my first 5lber but I just couldnt bring myself to do it and it wasnt quite large enough, just really thick. Plus it was during spawn so I kinda feel like that is cheating. So I have raised the bar for my first ever bass mount. 6lbs 2ozs or more. Then that fish will have seen its last day.

But it was still a fun day of fishing, solid 3 and 4 lbers all day probably 10+ fish and an additional 10+ fish under 3 lbs. I think I found a new gem of a spot that no one fishes. But thats a secret :)

Wow that's a short, thick fish! Congrats on the new PB! As for getting it mounted, why not get a replica made? You could have the memory of the fish and have a shot to maybe catch her again when she's even bigger?

Alright way to go. It's always nice to catch a new PB. Sounds like you found yourself a great spot, enjoy!

Congrats!! I agree with BlueBasser why not get a replica made. They last for ever. The real mounts I have seen last about maybe ten years before scales start flaking off and start discoloring. Nice fish!!
