Right now I'm just trying to get 40 hours a week. Heck five consecutive work days would be awesome. However myself and some co workers were discussing the number of consecutive days and hours we had worked on previous jobs. By consecutive I mean no weekends, holidays, or vacation days. The longest I have gone before has been 12 hour days for a period of 5 months. None of which was spent at a desk, it was all doing construction. So I ask the question, what's the most consecutive days and hours that you have worked?

Iv been on 24/7 sense January 28th.............. Idk if you can really call this work or a deployment its really sad actually I joined the Army as infantry during the "war on terror" and I get sent to Kuwait on a naval base its some BS the rest of our battalions in Afghanistan and were stuck here "just in case"

I went from mid-February through Labor Day without a day off; about fifteen years ago. Don't know how days that is, but they were 12 - 16 hour days, on salary. No overtime. I had to quit to get a day off.

January 2nd until April 15th - Every year for 30 straight years.

Of course most of it was done sitting at a desk which doesn't really qualify as work.

23 straight days, but it was at Wendys when i was attending classes at a local community college. some days were 8 hours, some were 9 hours, a lot were 5 hour days though. wasnt too tough, i took two weeks vacation afterwards though lol

Im just glad to see I'm not the only one that has worked long periods with no down time.

My Boss says work 6 days, then take the 7th off. Thank You!

Did a couple of 7 month deployment in Iraq. When i was in the marines. But now I work for the railroad and FRA has a rule if work 6 consecutive day we must have 48 hours of uninterrupted rest!

When I graduated college I was working 40 hours a week at night, and about 20 hours a week part time during the day.

To this day if I'm asked to work 2nd shift I will turn it down.

Couple years back I injured myself and was off for 6 months. On my return I worked 6 weeks straight without a day off.

We are only allowed to work 6 12 hour days a week and we must have 8 hours between each shift we work, not a rule that I feel is a bad thing at all in this high stress, low appreciation work environment I deal with.

14 days straight. 3 of the 7 in each week are on call days and can range from 9-17 hours. Of course it could go longer depending on how many on call issues there are during that 24 hour period, but usually no more than 17. I have had 135 hours in a 2 week period more than once. Back when i was fresh out of highschool i worked at Discount tire and a local farmers market during the day. From 9 am- 6 pm. Then i worked a late 3rd shift part time from 9-3. That didnt last but 2 weeks. Even at 18 i couldnt handle that. I remember the last few days before i quit the night job, i would stop working and fall asleep sitting up. My boss was not happy.
