I have a question for anyone who uses these or similiar type baits? What do you think is the best way to fish it? By this I mean with/with out a sinker? On a keel wieghted hook? All replies are greatly appreciated. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Flippn & pitchin with pegged weight is one of my fav ways

yea thats the only way ive fished em. theyre great baits and fish destroy these things! i love em. you can fish em any way you want, try em, think outside the box. theres no rule that says you have to fish any given bait a certain way.

Just bought a few packs before opener, and I am really impressed so far. I could see myself using this as my go to flip/pitch creature bait.

I never fish with a weighted keel hook, but don't see why that wouldn't work. I throw them T-rigged with a 1/4 to 3/8 oz weight (depending on the wind). Haven't really started C-rigging yet, but think they may be an option for that. They are murdered in the brush piles now that Momma has abandoned the nest.

I flip them t rigged. It is one of my go to baits. big Texan is my favorite color. Try them any way you think might work. You might discover something new.

I have some of the Pumpkin Ed jig heads that stand up...I don't have the Pit Boss but the Craw Fatty....would both be good on that jig head?

I love to fish them texas rigged with a bullet weight pitching to cover and into weeds. Orange Vampire is I preferred color.

This is a great bait. I fish them texas rigged what consist of a bobber stopper your weight i dont usually go any higher then a 3/8 unless i am punching which i use upwards of an ounce and then your hook i like a 3/0 to 4/0 ewg hook but when punching i use paycheck baits punch hook. This is my go to creature bait and i like green pumpkin just for simplicity. Hope this helps

This weekend I added using biffle hardheads and dragging them over gravel to the long list of ways to catch fish with them.

They are fantastic baits and I use them for flippin and pitchin' to targets mostly. I rig them with a 1/4 ounce parasite head and a 4/0 EWG Gammy. Right now they are my favorite creature bait.

Really not a bad way to fish them. They've become my favorite heavy wood/weeds flipping bait. Great jig trailer, good on a c-rig, good on a shakeyhead, great bed bait. Just really a good all around bait.

I actually like to throw them on the back of a swim jig. They're pretty versatile.
