Hello fellow fishermen,

I'm a New England transplant enjoying my new locale and fishing spots. I thought I'd be landlocked moving down here but I've been pleasantly surprised of all of the different places and native species to fish. I am a big fan of the different techniques and presentations out there to land the big one's. The main difference I've noticed between my fishing up north to Atlanta and surrounding areas has been the amount of big cats hiding in the muddy bottoms at all times of the day in the warm waters. I haven't landed my trophy LMB yet but I've been trying pretty hard. I haven't been out to any saltwater spots as of yet but I'm hoping to get on Lake Lanier soon for a nice striper or four. Sticking to the freshwater ponds and lakes I've been running: Abu Garcia Vendetta 7' medium action pole and Mitchell Avocet III G4000 spinning combo, I'll rotate between floro and mono 10-17lb line depending on the conditions I'm in. I'm looking forward to learning some new areas, tips and friends while I'm here, so stop on by to say hello.
