Is anyone using these? I think someone mentioned them. If so what color is working for you??? Seem expensive but i am willing to give em a try if someone else has had success.

I've never tried one myself, but a buddy of mine that I fish with had a bone colored one that he swore by. He lost it and tried to replace it with a bunch of other poppers but couldn't find anything. Might have just been a confidence thing but I know he is going to shell out some dough this spring on a bunch of them.

I have only heard good things about them and I will be trying them this spring.

they are worth their weight in gold.  I like the bone color and japanese shad.  my father said they're no different than a pop r  till we fished one morning.  outfished him 7:1.  evrybody i've ever talked to says the same thing..." I don't know what the deal with them is, they just catch fish plain and simple"

Absolutely love them. My 2 best colors are Bone & Smoke Shad.

If I could have only one topwater bait this would be it.

I've done well with the Bone & Bream colors.

Out fish Pop R's and catch good fish with them too. I personally change the hooks to a larger size and I like to put one of the VMC Sure sets on the tail end with a feather on it. The top portion of the bait is wider than the hooks meaning sometimes they blow up on it and when I'd set the hook (with the factory hooks) it would be nothing but air. Well the hooks are what I blame for it anyway. I like the Tennessee Shad and the Bone 1/2 oz.

I'm a fair to middlin' topwater angler and the Rio Rico showed me nothin'.  I like the 1/2oz Pop R and I'm happy they were put back into production.  Megabass' Pop X is also a strong producer.

The Yellow Magics that come from Japan are NOT the same as the ones that are sold by distributors in the States.  One of those deals where the some guy trademarked the name.

How do you know which one you are buying? I assume the Japan model is a better bait. What do you ask for when that is the one you want?

are the ones at tackle warehouse the real ones? Are they the good ones is the main question?

The description has changed so I don't know what that means. Is it a the same? Is it different? Make up your own mind, look at the package though.

The Yellow Magic is "Japanese Designed", assembled in China. It states that on the lable inside the box. That could mean it is actually made in China, Mexico, Indonesia, India, etc. and then assembled in China.

Kind of like a Honda is "Japanese Designed" and some are made in the USA.
