4Th Of July Bassin In New Jersey

Featured Replies

Me and Dan had high hopes today so we hit a place we haven't fished yet early , only to be rained upon for 2 hours ....It actually felt pretty good and cooled off a bit.....We knew it would push the fish a few feet deeper so we followed our idea and started hammering away.....Ended up with 20 between us.......Funny, I got all Smallmouth and Dan got all Largemouth......throw in a bunch of Pickerel and it's all good....Way to celebrate the Fourth.....Now it's time to BarbeQue and Eat!!!!!....To all the guys on this page(and their families), have a Happy and Safe Fourth of July!!!!

Man, send some rain this way! I don't know how many 100+ degree days in a row we've had but the lakes and ponds are drying up quick! I would have gladly traded places. Been at work since 4pm on the 4th, got another hour to go before I can go home. Couldn't see a single firework from here :cry3:

WTG, that's the way to celebrate!

Very nice looking fish. I would love to catch half that many. Thunderstorm rolled thru last night. When I stepped outside the house before 6 a.m. to leave for work this morning, it was already about 80 degrees and the humidity is very high.

Mind telling me where you were fishing? Might have to buy an out-of-state fishing license. :eyebrows: I work in NJ.

Of course, no more than I am getting to fish this year, that would be a big waste of money. :(
