What Is The Best Hook For Skinny Dippers Or Other Soft Swimbaits?

Featured Replies

I been using EWG hooks lately but I'm wondering if hook-up ratio will increase by switching to some other worm hook.

I just slit the belly on all my swimbaits. It eliminates the need for a super wide gap hook. I also use swimbait hooks too, because they can come keel weighted, and they have the screw in for the nose.

6/0 Owner Beast

5/0 Trokar or owner

Owner makes a good hook I try to use a size that goes about half the length of the bait and something with a screw in bait keeper

Used to use the Owner Beast, but have converted to the Moaner hook for 99% of my soft swimbaits. Great hook, awesome price.

I use the owner beasts also. But I have been using Trokars for some other applications and I got to tell ya those hook are sticky. I am waiting on some swimbait hooks now.

Also, when I started using braid for skinny dippers my hooking percentage went way up. I generally prefer a light keel weighted hook.
