All You Need To Know About Swim Jigs - Video Tutorial

Featured Replies

Chris DeMars, River Rat316 and owner of NorthStar Custom Baits, sits down to talk everything swim jigs and what some of the advantages are to throwing the original NorthStar swim jig. Thanks for watching and let us know if you have any other questions!

the big hammers will NOT disappoint, but use superglue also. they really rip over time

We threw them that day and tonight and I love the action...cannot wait to order some more! These are going to take over for my Keitechs

Is it just me or do the hits on swimjigs take one of two extremes? I haven't thrown them much, but it seems either they try to jerk the rod out of your hands or just feel like dead weight until you set the hook, not much inbetween,

That is a great observation.Generally the bass around here smack the swim jigs as hard as they can...when you get that slack hit it's either a pike/muskie.

The only time you will get something in-between is when it's a bluegill/perch nipping at your baits or running off with your trailer.

Nice video. I enjoyed watching it and learned some new information. Thank you!

Thanks for the insight. I guess there is life after hopping jigs along the bottom with craw trailers.

I fished the NorthStar Swim Jig (Sexy Shad) with a Rage Eeliminator (Blue Glimmer) last weekend.

The jig is flawless and the action of the trailer is awesome!

Mr mallard check out the hitch series trailer hitch keepers, they are well worth the money and will save you way more money than what they cost over time.

Good Info -

I'm looking forward to trying the "up-side down" swimbait trailer idea.
