Dobyns Savvy Or Powell Endurance

Featured Replies

I am looking for a new pitching rod. I have narrowed it down between a Powell Endurance 764FLIP and a Dobyns Savvy Micro Guide SSM 735C. The reel I am going to use is the Lew's Tournament Pro. Any suggestions would be great as to what rod you think I should go with.

Powell Endurance. They are simply some of the best rods out there for under $200, and quite frankly, I wasn't impressed with the Saavy series, and felt they were a little over-priced.

I heard good things about the powells but i currently own two savvys 734 and 735 and wouldnt trade them for anything. great rods.

I highly recommend you try one. If you like the Saavy's you'll love the Powell's

I own a Savvy's and I don't have any complaints about them. It works great!

I have both. I have a Savvy 734C and a Powell Endurance 714C. I would recommend the Powell over the Savvy simply because of the tip. The tip on the Powell just seems to be a little faster than the Savvy. The Powell is also slightly more sensitive in my hands.
