Recently lost the dragstar and handle nut on my curado 200bsf. Does anyone know if there are other dragstars or nuts from other shimano reels that can replace the lost parts?

Also tried ordering parts from mikesreelrepair but have not been happy with the service and how long it would take to get the parts. Are there other sites from which I can order the parts from?

i like ordering directly from shimano the best...they're fast and the shipping is cheap. their website has all the schematics with all the part numbers you need for ordering.

Thanks guys. I'll end up doing that instead. Hopefully they won't take too long with the parts I need. Should've just went straight to the source in the first place instead of obtaining the parts from an incompetent Canadian website.

Shimano North America typically does not stock parts for reels that have been discontinued for 5 years or longer. There are a couple of good aftermarket sources for the parts you are looking for.

Dad'sOle Tackle is one that I have had luck using to find older parts. You can give them a call at 1-866-703-9852.

Another is Sothwestern Parts and Service you can check out their website or call them at 214-630-8161.

Shimano's customer service is tops! I called the recently to order a spare set of brake weights, and I had them in one weeks time no charge at all.

I've used Southwestern before, and was completely satisfied. Never used Dad's Ole Tackle. Thanks aavery2 for the number.

When the "original Mike" was running mikesreerepair, service was excellent. He sold out a while back. After two attempts to source parts from the new owner, whomever that may be, I deleted them from my list.

Most reel manufactureres don't like to stock spare parts for reels that old. But, the b series curado was one of the most popular reels of all time. Maybe THE most popular reel of all time. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Shimano has what you need.
