Lead Ok?

Featured Replies

So I just started to wonder why it is okay, at least in my state, to have fishing tackles with lead sold, while other consumer products are not?

Is that because the assumption is the little kids and pregnant women won't be near the fishing tackle?

Or should I be worried about it for myself? Am I feeling tired recently because I spend too much time fishing? Are you folks doing something about lead handling?

No. Unless the lead is ingested it will not harm you. Perhaps washing your hands before

you eat a sandwich is a precaution, but all the "other reasons" for washing your hands

are far more important..

Don't lick your fingers after handling lead :laugh5: Actually I know a lot of guys that bite their splitshot closed and don't seem to be any stranger than they already were :eyebrows: Just be careful handling it, make sure to wash your hands before you eat something, and you'll be fine.
