I usually prefer a white-shad spinner bait, black and blue/black with red flake, and black and blue flash jigs, creature baits such as sweet beavers, and tubes.

i haven't tried many different lures yet. mostly been fishing soft plastics. seems like senkos get the most bites so id go with them. not sure what the name of the color was but it was like an orangish brown. white with blue flecks works good too.

Rat-l-trap or a Super Spot this time of year.

It really depends, time of day has a lot to do with my favorite, Heddon spook jr is one of my favorite this time of year early in the mornings, medium depth cranks in shad colors bangging on the brush piles will load the boat in a hurry, shad, fire tiger, colored spinners along the rock levies, shad colored flukes in the tall grass that is still around, Lizards and jigs around rock piles, jigs around docks and stumps.

I have so many this time of year it's really hard to pick a favorite or two, but I will say this is my favorite time of year to fish !!!

Most moving baits but traps, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, and squarebills are at the top of the list. I still fish jigs and plastics a lot too but the faster moving baits get the call a lot of the time.

lately i have been doing some damage on a baby bass colored spook. i expect this to continue to work until the water gets to cold which then i will proceed by using cranks, spinnerbaits, and soft plastics

spooks, traps, and spinnerbaits when the bite is fast, and i keep a couple of jigs and a shakey head close for when it slows down. but nothing in the world beats the frog at guntersville in the fall!!

I gotta say spinnerbaits. I like to fish efficiently in the fall as the bite can get hot and go cold quickly, so I don't want to be changing out cranks when they go a little deeper following the baitfish. With a spinnerbait, if I loose contact with active fish, I'll go over the area again but deeper (or shallower if I feel they've moved up in the water column).

No need to change baits or rods with a spinnerbait and even if I want to change blades, it's a lot easier for me than cutting and retying. BTW, I also keep a tube jig tied on another rod, but in the same color as the s/b......WHITE

Haha, true that. Its still a little toasty here in NC but its getting there.

The nights have been chilly up here. I actually had to wear a jacket when I went out last night/this morning.

By far my favorite presentation for the fall is a weightless zoom fluke.

Kvd 1.5 in Tennessee Shad, red eye Shad in Tennessee Shad and white spinnerbait or swim jig. I keep a jig tied on but my moving baits are used 99% of the fall. weightless super flukes in pearl if I'm throwing soft plastics. That's about it.

Lucky Craft Gunfish and buzzbaits. Square bill and traps. Texas rigged plastics. I like throwing spinners and chatterbaits too but a lot of times I remove the skirt and add a fluke or paddle tail of some kind.
