Grandson And Fishin'

Featured Replies

I thought I'd share a trip with all of you. As my grandchildren get older ,it's harder to find time to get them into the boat. Yesterday there were no games to work around. Within 10 minutes Nicholas had caught a 3-5 largemouth. It's been a while since I've seen him that excited. We only caught one more bass but shared the time, laughed and reconnected again on the water. It's times like this that bring a smile to my heart. Take a child fishing, create a memory.

Amen to that. Kids & fishing not only create memories for both of you but help continue the sport for the next generation.

Take a look at the reel he's using :laugh5:

That little bass had it really singing--stripping off line. Lots of fun.

How wonderful for both of you and the little guy's buddy! I bet it was FUN watching him catch that fish!!!! :laugh_blue:

FANTASTIC POST ;) And great photo too!

Yeah, and the more you go the more he'll want to go, great start to a great tradition........................

Amen! My boy is 5.5, and we go every weekend. We've been going out for a couple of seasons now. This week we took my little girl who is 2.5 with us, she had a good time climbing on rocks and playing with worms. We always catch a nice assortment of bass, bluegill, and small catfish. And we alway end up closer for having spent the time. Love fishing with kids....

His smile says it all. He looks to be full of joy and happiness that he caught a fish, and he caught it with GRANDPA........Congrats
