Help Finding A Crawfish...

Featured Replies

I saw a fishing show (canadian sportfishing) today and the host was using a plastic crawfish that looked really good. It was plastic and had a built in weigh in the tail that you passed the line through which then you tied to the hook which was texas rigged. When you pulled on the line the crawfish would fold in the water like a retreating crawfish. It was amazing and looked so realistic in the water.

If you know what lure this is please tell me. Thanks

I don't know the brand name but I've seen them at Wal-Mart. That's the only place I've seen them.

No, I'm pretty sure I saw the same show and it was not a Hudd.

thrasher, check Dick's Sporting Goods if you have any near you. There's a chance that I MIGHT have seen them there was well.

The Huddelbugs don't fold up...and they have the hook set up in the nose. :)  Great baits though.

Was it the huddleston hudddlebug?

The sliding weight craw folds up and the pinchers  have air bubbles so they stand up in a defensive position.

I would think with a little work you could make almost any craw do this... just run the hook all the way through the tail side first so the line goes through it and along the belly, then just rig it normal (TR works better from what I understand) and if needed weight the head.

I saw some local fishermen do this last summer and did decent

Is this the one?

The tail seems like it would fold under upon retrieving it.

How about this:

Its basically a YUM Crawbug thats unrigged
