Caught this on a neon yellow trick worm in 3' water.24.75" long.
  2. I have 2 LH Quantum and 2 RH BP tournament reels. I switch back and forth . On a long day of casting Its less tiresome.
  3. A quality rod makes a very BIG difference. I've had a team daiwa jig and worm rod for 15ys. It almost never backlashes unless the bait snags a branch. I have a Team Allstar HXF that really likes to backlash unless you have 1/2oz or more and its hard to cast accurately. I have a new browning boron MF that cast perfectly accurate with light to medium lures and never backlashes. There is something to be said for string. even the cheapest reels will cast perfect if matched to a Quality rod and a proper weight lure.
  4. t-rigged Black Yum craw or Culprit craw colored worm. Chatter baits, tubes, frogs. Depends on depth and time of day.
  5. I went to my local lake to test my tm. Big largemouth were hitting a black craw like crazy . One had several large black splotches. I cant remember ever seeing one. Looked like freckles

    Dremel
  7. I have neglected to read this thread several times cause I couldn't remember ,It had been many years. Karma gave me a refresher . I caught a nice sow and got fired up about it. I hung the chatter bait on a limb . I jerked the fool out of to free it. It flew back and stabbed me in the arm. Took me an hour after I sheared the hook to push it through

I've read all the reviews. Half say jts perfect other half say it falls apart. Is there some preventive maintenance that might avoid that?
  10. Not sure where this belongs General or Tackle :-/. Anyway its time for my spring order to BPS. Along with lures I need a really good Lure Retriever to fetch those expensive baits. What do you use? Those x-rap really get snagged bad >.
  11. I have 6 black Super frogs and black frogs and worms. Will these do anything to black?
  12. A medium weight fast is best. Length doesn't matter. I like 7'. I have a Berkeley MH-fast 7' that will work. I have All-star heavy fast that will not cast top water baits. Works for weighted worms though .
  13. X2 The culprit worm crawdad color works for me when others don't. even better with some YUM crawdad attractant on it.
  14. At first bass wont be aggressive & they will spit it out fast. Ive tried craws and lizards but no joy. Ive had good luck white chatter baits. Chatter baits are really noisy and gets their attention. Give it a try.
  15. Fathers-day I'm told. You can request it any time I'm told.
  16. I got a new QUANTUM ACCURIST on ebay $45.00 plus S&H
  17. I have a new one.Good rod for the money. I have a Quantum Accurist on it. Ive been using for chatter bait, buzz bait and spinner baits. Works well with swim baits. Little too stiff for top water. okay fr worms and lizards. good general purpose rod.
  18. I have 2# 2009. Caught lots of big bass last year with them. They're easy to fish with all day, light and small. They're easy to maintain .They're tough and behave well. One note of caution - these reels need a good quality line. I'm using Suffix Siege 17#. Because of its low memory it works very well. These reels have small light spools and a stiff line with memory will cause you problems example a spinnerbait into the wind.
  19. Just reel them in fast. Just under the surface ,like a buzzbait.
  20. I ate em.
  21. The fish weren't biting but we still got a mess. We forced em in the boat with chatter baits. Not my favorite way to getem but you take what you can get. The water is still very cold. The temperature last night was 31 but things are picking up fast.
  22. X3, I learn something everyday. I can tell my next year will be richer. Thanks
  23. I put yum on the Dancin eel. I fished it slow & stop. worked great.
