I Need A Good Pair Of "hook Cutters"...

Featured Replies

I need a strong, solid pair of hook cutters. I buy cheap shears, and the edges bend. Any suggestions?

Although not usually part of a bass anglers gear list - but very common with the conscientious Musky crowd ~ Knipex Hook-Cutters are simply the best hook-cutters on the market today. This cutter will last you a lifetime. It cuts hooks easily with a one-handed squeeze. Two styles are available the regular model, and the model that is spring loaded with a comfort grip.

What A-Jay said. I had to use mine this spring when a buddy had a smallie hook him up past the barb in a finger while the smallie was still hooked up.

Those look worlds better than my linesman pliers that I have for this.

knipex are the bees knees. youll never have to buy another pair again, and will be able to hand them down im sure. quality cutters. pricey, but as bass fisherman we know "ya get what ya pay for"

I use a good pair of side cutters (not the drop forged ones) for most bass hooks. I also keep a pair of mini bold cutters in my boat for the occasional saltwater hook and for my muskie gear.
