Hey everyone saw these recently on Cabelas and just wondering if anyone has tried them, supposedly its all the rage in Japan. Also anyone who has used them what size weight would you recommend for using on 5 inch baits. Thanks

I use them with the 4.8" and 5.8" Jackall Flick Shake worms. They are the best wacky jig head I have used, they have a great hook and a tungsten head. I use the 1/16 ounce size all of the time, the lighter weight seems to get more bites.

I have not tried them but I seen Zappu is coming out with the pd chopper and its suppose to be hot in Japan used with Jackall Anomite shad or the sasuseki craw.

I saw that too @ Cabela's. I think Fred Roubanis (sp?) used it or the Zappu soft plastics fishing bridge piers on "Day on the Lake" program and BM mag article last year.

The first time I ever used one a few weeks ago I caught a 14 inch bass within my first few casts. It was a 4 inch senko with the 1/8 ounce head. I have some 1/16 coming now that I ordered from TW. I ordered with and without weed guards. Nice product but very expensive considering how easy they are to lose.

I use the Jackall Wacky Jigheads.  Basically the same thing.

I also use them with Yamamoto Flappin Hogs in shallow water.  Pierce 'em along the centerline, and exit the point so the head of the hog is snug to the ball.  Use the weedless version for this since the shallow water has vegetation.  It also works well in grass beds, working the hog along the bottom.

Funny thing is, you'd think there isn't enough gap in the hook to get a good bite on a body like the hog, but they work.  I've even used them the same way on Fat Ikas.  They are even thicker than the Flappin Hog.

Don't have a hookset problem with larger fish.  It's the pound and a half or smaller that manage to spit the hook.  But not enough to be problematic.

I also use them as designed, and they do work well.

The Zappu Wacky Jig is great!

I use them in 1/32 and 1/16oz. I also use the King Cobra for larger baits such as the 6.8" Flick Shake.

The Jackall Wacky Jig Heads have a very weak hook which a 4lb. fish can staighten. Don't like them at all.

They sell them, or VERY similar, but they are made here in the USA, and they are comparatively inexpensive.

I like to support small tackle shops when I can, especially the relatively local ones.

The Buckeye Flick-It is also pretty good.

I have been trying these out with different types of plastics.  They worked really well with fluke style baits.  Depending on where you hook the bait you can really get them to dance.  If you hook it in the middle you can get it to quiver nicely.  If you hook it more towards the front you can get it to dart and dive violently.  Give it a try it may work for you too.

Seems like this topic died off a few weeks ago. I know there has got to be more folks fishing this technique. Anyone else catchin fish on this? I had a good day last week using the 1/8 ounce with a 4 inch senko. The area I was fishing was rip rap and about 8 feet deep. The fish couldnt get enough of this rig. I bought some flick shakes, 1/16 , and 3/32 weights too so when I go back out to my spot this weekend I'll give those a try too.

How and what do you guys rig these with they are strange little buggers

i was out fishing with a guide a couple years back and we were getting our hats handed to us...we tried everything but only caught 3-4 fish between us in 6 hours of throwing cranks, jigs, spinnerbaits, worms, etc. and we're down to our last hour of fishing. so, finally, he pulls out a zappu inchi wacky head and tells me to tie it on and then wacky a 6" roboworm on it...i thought he was nuts...i had never seen anything like it...i kept saying, "what is this called??" well, on my second and third casts, i catch consecutive 3 pounders. then, over the course of the next 45 minutes, 6 more bass, all in the 2-4 lbs. range. most impressively, every single fish was hooked perfectly in the top of the roof of the mouth.

after that trip, i came back and looked them up on the internet. they were just starting to be talked about. i ordered one package but i have not fished with them at all since and i don't know why.
