Wait a minute, Ok the Pats were once the Boston Patriots, they actually were in Boston at one time, they moved the team to Foxboro sometime in the early 70's, Foxboro is a suburb of Boston is it not?

  • Super User

You are talking about pre-merge aren't you, when they actually called them championships instead of superbowls.

You know the Redskins actually began in Boston right?

Yes I was talking pre merger, right before the merger though the AFL and NFL had two seperate championship games, and the Pats were not fortunate to win any.

No, didn't know that, so I guess that is a technicallity, but it all relates to our discussion

Jags hire Gus Bradley as head coach! does this mean Matt Flynn could join him?

Yep, they were the Boston Braves in the very begining, they got moved to the other side of Boston and became the Boston Redskins, 1937 was the first season in DC, as the Washington Redskins and their first Championship.

So Gus Bradly huh, well .....I have mixed emotions on that move, I don't know if Flynn joins him or not really, I don't think it makes a difference either way.

No worst to first for the jags in your eyes. LOL. Well this move I think puts them in a great position for the draft being that this is a heavy DE and CB laiden first round

  • Super User

I think they should have gone after a Gruden type coach but none the less, at least they should fair well with the draft for sure.

  • Super User

I guess I should be pulling for the Pats since it was the Birthplace of my beloved Skins lol !

On a technicality note a team from boston did win a championship.

Highly doubtful they keep Vick from all the philly sports radio I have been listening to

It sounds like Foles is religated to backup duty. What I read said Vick would need to take a pay cut to stay but they want a mobile QB to run an option type offense.

I heard the exact opposite.....Kelly likes foles and came out and said he will be changing up his offense to keep the qb out of danger with the faster stronger players in the NFL.
