spinnerbait brands with small blades

Featured Replies

hello all. im looking to buy some spinnerbaits (3/8-3/4oz) with smaller blades than the norm for burning and also to be able to fish a smaller profile at moderate depths.

what brand/model of spinnerbaits would you recommend to me?

I have these available in sizes from 1/4 to 1 oz

You can get any blades you want with them. The sizes under 1/2 oz are built on a size under frame and the 5/8 and larger are built on a 1/2oz frame. The 1oz bait can be fished at a moderate retreive down to 20+' if you let it get down there first.

I also have alot more colors and models to add including some triple and quad blade models that were pretty hot last year.

I would just go with the spinnerbait that I liked the best then downsize the blade.  You can pickup blades at any Bass Pro, Cabelas, or Gander Mountain.

If you go this route, take a look at Stamina Inc for components. They have a great selection of spinnerbait blades with reasonable prices IMO.

Strike King now makes a Burner model with down sized blades.

They also make a Bottom Dweller - heavier bait - same down sized blades.

I do not have these baits - I made my own.

I buy my components at stamina inc and assemble them myself.  their pre painted spinnerbait heads are the equal of most of the brand names.  you save money per unit because you have to assemble five or ten at a time, but you can change skirts and blades up so you can cover a lot of situations.

I'm with the guys saying to just buy your own blades and customize. I buy good spinnerbaits but it seems all of the major manufacturers have blades I don't want on the model with the head, wire size, and hook I do want. So I just replace the blades.

Easy to do, and then you can also catch fish on your own "custom" spinnerbaits. Not really custom, but you can say it anyway, might impress your newbie friends.

War Eagle Finesse spinnerbaits are my favorite spinnerbait. They are perfect or what you are describing. No matter how fast you reel them in they dont lay on there side.

The War Eagle Screaming Eagle is another option - 1/4 oz size with 1/2 oz weight.

Same here.

I like Secret Weapon Lures Pro Assassinators.  I use the 3/4 oz double willow with undersized blades all the time.
