I would like a new rod for one of a my combo tactics and currently looking at St. Croix and or Abu Garcia Vertias, I own both brands and love the Veritas but its quality doesn't seem like it will last like my St.croix's, with this being said, if it was your money what would you buy and why?

Haven't used either rod you mention, but if I had the money, it'd be on the St. Croix.

Name synonymous with quality, reputation is stellar... Everyone I know who owns one among other rod brands absolutely loves it.

I also say get the St Croix. I have had zero issues with them that were not my own fault . I can't say the same about ANY other rod make I have had, and that list is long.

I've got both the Mojo and Veritas in MH/F for casting. I definitely like them a lot. I don't know that you could really go wrong with any of the choices, but St. Croix does have a better rep IMO. If I had to choose between the Mojo and the Vertias, I would probably choose the Mojo, but not by much.
