Looks like I have my work cut out for me.  Anyone else go around collecting X-Mas trees this year?  Hope my wife isn't mad when she gets home.

Yup - Back in the day, a friend of mine and I did the same thing.

And in typical fashion, we snagged Waaaaay more than we could use.

It took us a while to get them all rigged & ready, but once we did, we set out to splash those bad boys all over the lake.

Did I mention we were doing it, One    At    A   Time         -   with a 10 foot Coleman Crawdad and a seriously under powered Minn Kota.

We did take some fish off them though.

Good Luck My Friend.

My Goodness!!!

What makes you think she would even be remotely mad at you? LOL !!!

Just tell her you're actually Santa Claus. Or at least one of his elves and this is the post-holiday work.

Or tell her you just hate to see a good tree go to waste!!

Good luck bro... I have had my fill of dropping trees. We have had my bass boat looking like a floating bush... Not to mention , we do it at night...oh the memories. It has produced many largemouths and crappie though

Mine is going in the lake tomorrow but I am not collecting lol, dont have that kind of time

is this legal to the rangers of the lake?

Its a great idea to do this in the lake I fish since it has NO cover.

I fish community ponds, the years we have some vegetation growing the fishing is better, it's fairly barren now and the fishing hasn't been as good, the fish are there, my ponds are landlocked.   The HOA at least in my community cleans these ponds up in a hurry after a storm may have deposited some debris that may enhance the fishing, not to mention weed spray every couple of months.  Be an exercise in futility for me to put anything in the water.

You will have to check your state and local regulations.  I put all of my fish attractors in my private club lake.
