Warm Up

Featured Replies

This weekend the temperature is supposed to be up to 68, an almost 20 degree rise in air temperature since the beginning of the week, how will this affect the bass and where will the bass move to? Should I be focusing on deep water or shallow water leading up to this warm up? What lures should I throw and what type of bite should I be looking for? It's a shallow, saucer shaped, dirty water lake with little structure other then shoreline structure

I would start the same place I would if it was cold. Find the bait first. Go from there. Water temp may not increase nearly as much as air temp.

They won't move far.  They'll be right where you left them.  Takes more than a few warm days to affect the deep water they're wintering in.

Just like they already said. The body of water isn't going to warm up within just 1-2 days. The bonus is you can fish in a hoody in January.

weather here in georgia is highs in the mid to high 60s and lows in the 50-60s. im going out sunday to see what i can get

It is suppose to be warm here today and tomorrow.  Then we might have a chance for snow on Sunday.  Have to love the mid west.
