My man, you are wanting/asking for somebody to come and give you a list of instructions on how to work a bait like a senko, there is no such thing as a list of instructions, how much you lift the rod tip, in what angle, in which direction, with how much strength and so on is something that can 't be taught, you have to find out on your own because what works today may not necessarily mean it will work tomorrow, heck what works in the morning may not work in the afternoon, no matter how much you are a visual learner as you call yourself, you have to test and try on your own until you find the retrieve that 's producing the best results and from then you have to repeat every time to obtain consistency.

If my 7 year old son can catch fish on a senko without absolutely no notion on even how to make a knot you can do it.

NO ONE ever learned to fish reading internet articles or watching someone else fish on YouTube. These things are helpful and have their place, but nothing beats time on the water. So grab your rig and go fishing. A lot. And don't obsess on Senkos. I rarely fish stickbaits at all and I get plenty of fish. Throw them something besides a stickbait, you'll be suprised.

for what its worth man...one way to fish it that you already know and can relate to is to fish it like a soft jerk bait.

cast it out let it sink a bit... then jerk three times...let it sink... about 8 to 10 seconds... jerk jerk jerk. repeat.

its not the "classic deadstick" way to fish it... but it works for me that way on occasion. the secret to MOST of the senkos appeal is the fall.

find ways to make it fall. thas pretty much it.

like others said... its mostly just throwing it and coming up with your own way to fish it. there is trully no "wrong" way.

p.s. dont let the short fuses exibited here scare you off the site. this place is great.

you just have no idea how many times a week a "new" senko question is asked on here. ;D

First of all Senkos are not magic and they don't work for everybody. There are some pretty good fishermen who have given up on them. Is this a shallow pond with the bottom covered with weeds or slime? If so then your bait could be out of sight when it is laying on the bottom. If that is the case the dead sticking is not going to work, you will need to move that bait a little faster and keep it up where the bass can see it. If the bottom is not covered with weeds then give up and try a top water. There is a reason those bass won't hit a soft bait fished slowly on the bottom. Fishing is fun, never get frustrated.
