7 Or 10Inch Rage Tail Anaconda

Featured Replies

So I am ordering a few packs of Rage Tail Anaconda worms today, (my first rage tail bait) but can't decide between the 10inch and 7inch.  Any noticeable difference on which one performs better?  I love big worms.....  But the tail on these babies seems to have a huge profile even in 7inch.  I suppose I could get one of each, but was just wondering what you guys prefer!  Thanks for your time!

Was also thinking about picking up a few different types.  Maybe a pack of the lobsters?  Is there any other rage tail bait that you guys throw all the time?

I also like the space monkey. Their frogs are good too. Any questions when coming to the Rage Tail products for free to PM Big-O. Even so I would PM Big-O to make sure you order the proper hooks and sizes.

Unless your fishing in big bass territory, I would go with the 7”. The 10” is pretty big.

The 7” is one of my go to lures. Favorite colors are GP and Falcon lake craw.

The regular craws are AWESOME fished on a T rig or trailing a jig. Such a versatile bait and a must have for me.

The 7" Anaconda and Thumper are more along the line of trick worms.

10" versions are big worms!

While both have a time and place for me, the 7" is a god size to start with. Try keel-weighting it, and using it across shallow matted grass! If you fish a lot of muddy water, or at night, or where big bass live, I'd switch to the 10" on a Tx rig.

I use both but I seem to have more luck on the 10" worm. I have had little bass slam the bigger worm along with big bass. The worm is one of my favorite baits by Rage but the craw is my absolute favorite there are so many ways you can fish it and it makes a great jig trailer I highly recomend you pick up some craws as well.

The 10" displaces more water and has the drawing power for THE fish I am after.

Smaller fish will eat the 10" too, but I just feel it gives me a more realistic shot at the bigger fish in any given body of water.
