I'm just not a fan of the T knob lately on these size reels. Anyone know the part # for one of their other models that will fit? Of maybe an aftermarket one that's not a bunch of money?

Some of the smaller sized spools had a knob that wasn't a T. The 1000 size is one step down and has a flat handle. It might fit.

I'm also not a fan of the T knob. I've perused ebay and japantackle.com for replacements on the event I end up buying one with a T. Currently casting my gaze at the Lexa spinning reel, all models come with at T.   

I wouldn't want a handle that wasn't a T.

I hate the t handle as well. Id cruise ebay and look for other options. I love ci4/sustain handles the best...

I checked ebay with no luck. I might have to give Shimano a call and see if one of their other model knobs fits.

Check with Hawgtech. Their cork handle might work.

I use the Symetre 2500 and like the T handle, but I also like the ones that are not. I guess any of them will work for me, except just the plain round knob like on the ci4. I don't care for that.
