Weight Line Stoppers

Featured Replies

I am trying to find the small rubber/plastic line stoppers for pegging bullet weights. I have checked Cabelas and Bass Pro with no luck. Does anyone know the company or product name and where to buy them?

I do not want the kind that you thread through the weight and clip but the small ones that slide on the line.

I tried the bass pro shop type they worked but not the best. The type ky warmouth posted work alot better.

They are called bobber stops. Bass pro has them just ask around.

They can also be picked up at the local Walmart. That is where I get mine.

With heavier weights, the standard bobber stop aren't good enough.  Something like the Punch Stops from Paycheck Baits works better.  I know you said you didn't like the t-stops, but they really work the best.  A bit of a pain if you're in a hurry.

6th sense pegx stops are what works for me

I've gone the way of - I make my own.

Simply tie a small section of old braided line (40-50lb) around your main line in front of the weight using a uni-knot.

Quick, Easy, Neat & Cheap.

I meant to say those or the  6th sense ones. The traditional style of bobber stops are yarn and they will slide up your line from time to time.

Take a short piece of line, thread it through the weight so you have a loop, put a rubber band in the loop and pull it through, works like a toothpick without nicking the line. It's easier than it is to describe it but works well and allows you to slide the weight up the line for reties.

You can also find them on eBay for cheap and in bulk.
