What To Get???

Featured Replies

Hey y'all! I have a 45 dollar BPS gift card and was looking to get some new tackle. I have a little bit of everything so I really don't know what to get. Any suggestions? Thanks y'all!

Well..what are yyou lacking? You can always buy hooks, tungsten weights, extra spool of line, flipping/punch weights hooks, KVD Line and Lure, fishing glue, scent/attractants or baits that you will be using soon.

45 isnt really alot so i cant reallyy make any rod/reel suggestions unless thats a dire need.

Jerkbaits and jigs are super spring time lures to consoder also. BPS has a sale coming so take a look on the flyer or website.

Kind of a broad statement, not sure what you are asking.  IF I had the 45 gift card, I'd probably use it on a new BPS PQ if it were me.  I would suggest whichever lures you like that are on sale during the Spring Classic I'd spend it on them or if you've always wanted to try something and you never bought it.  Go for it.  Maybe if you were a little more specific?  Another idea maybe is to buy tackle for a technique you haven't mastered yet?

If it were me, I would hold onto it and put it toward a new rod, or reel.

I would hold on to it until you need to restock or get inspired by a new lure you want to try.  I know it's hard to just sit on a card.  It's like giving a child a $10.00 at a candy shop and telling them not to spend it.

War Eagle Spinnerbaits

Strike King Red Eye Shad

NetBait T-Macs on some Buckeye Spot Remover shaky heads

Lucky Craft Sammy.

that should be close to $45

When I have gift cards I try to use the approach of "what would I not want to spend my money on" meaning if you don't see yourself buying a LC or Trokars or something like that, then I look at using a gift card as a way to get something I normally wouldn't buy for myself.

Either that, or I use that gift card to purchase a larger ticket item. Then it is like a discount.

That's just me though.

Save it. It never expires. I am saving mine and building it up to get me an MGX or a Core next year

Gammy 1/8 oz weighted screw lock hooks, and a whole bunch of rage craws.  Rage rig them, crawl them anywhere the water is less than 10ft deep, and have fun.

I would save it until the next big thing comes around, like rod and reel. For example, I just commented on the bait monkey post and I remembered I have a $50 gift card from xmas plus rod and reel trade back program for the Spring classic and it has me thinking.

Bass Pro Shops® Billed Mini-Z9R Swimbaits

That's what I would get.  These things are almost "idiot proof" and do catch fish!
