Open Tournaments

Featured Replies

Does anyone know of any bass tournaments in the central PA region.  I know about the Jims Anchorage tournaments at Raystown and the solo fishing4five tournaments at Raystown.  Anyone know of any at Sayers(Howard), or Wallenpaupak, or any other lakes that allow unlimited horsepower?

Our club has a lunker tournament every wednesday in July on Sayers. Howard launch, we launch at 6:30 and fish till 9:30. Come early enough for boat inspection. Theres an open tournament in july held by capital city bass on the susquehanna at shicshimmy(spelling) state park, its a buddy format $3000 guaranteed first place. Theres another coming up on one of the rivers but I dont have the details yet. When our lunkers end in July another picks up in August on Howard(sayers) but its a different club and Thursday nights. They start at 6pm.

Ill be in the fish for five series. Just talked to the director today, gotta send my application next week and get new hubs installed ASAP.

I take it youre not a member of a club? My club has 25 events this season but the only opens are the lunkers.

No I'm not a member of a club, I just really don't want to attend meetings and be expected to show up every week I work too many hours for that but at the same time I'm in 5 BFL's this year and i really don't want those to be the only tournaments I fish.  I'm going to do some of those fishing4five tournaments at Raystown and maybe some Jims anchorage tournaments but other than that i didn't really know about anything else happening in PA

That looks VERY interesting.  What days is it usually held?  If it's a Friday-Sunday thing, it could be do able.

And what is the deal with Hammonds Lake?  I can barely see water on Google earth.

How many boats were in it last year?  Those are not very big lakes. LOL

we only had about 20 boats last year...it wasnt crowded at all

I realize it is a small tourny but we are trying to grow it some...the lakes arent huge, but they are diverse and are plenty big for double the boats we had last year

20 boats is plenty big enough.

Those are like an ocean to some of the places I have fished.

Got a local one here, trolling motor only, on a 201 acre lake. I've seen 40 boats in one T before. Nuts.

I meant to make the pot worth it, heh.
