Your wife's dog is probably more intelligent than those clowns are too. I tried to have a serious discussion with them about their intentions but they basically refused to even discuss it with me. All this tournament will accomplish is creating further divide between the trout and bass anglers because the bass fisherman are going to hate pure hatred of the trout fisherman after this "killing for fun" event. They could kill 10,000 lbs of bass in this thing and it wouldn't even put a dent in the bass population. They will be replaced in one spawn season. It's obvious there's plenty of forage there's great trout and bass fishing right now. The genie was let out of the bottle a long long time ago and there's no way to put it back in now so all this will do is make people hate the trout fishermen, period.

Well I personally love that round gobies were introduced to Erie and Cayuga. They've made the bass fishing exponentially better than it was prior to their introduction. So I feel good about it if you are asking.

No offense Sir but you really can't be that educated on the subject if you think this tournament is going to have any impact whatsoever on the smallmouth bass population. None. It will be so negligible it's useless and only accomplishes make Maine look like a bunch of killers. On top of that if the smallmouth have been living with brook trout for over 25 years I don't think they are going to suddenly eat all of the brook trout. Based on the size and amount of both brook trout and smallmouth in the lake right now I'd say there's plenty of forage to go around. There's no real science at all behind this tournament and I can't help but feel it's going to accomplish the exact opposite of what they are hoping. No one's mind will be changed and suddenly want rid of the bass because of this, but it very well may change someone's mind and make them hate all of the brook trout fisherman because of this mass killing.

To fish a BFL your boat has to be 16ft, have a 500gph bilge pump, have steering wheel steering, and have an aerated livewell with a divider. I've fished a dozen or so BFL's and have saw maybe a total of 4 aluminum boats the whole time. If your boat met all the rule requirements you will be fine, the only thing I would worry about would be a mid-summer tournament with hot water and your llivewell being too small to keep 2 limits of fish alive for 8 hours.

I have a brand new Z7 and I've gone over it with a fine tooth comb and everything appears to be perfect. If your batteries are rigged improperly that is a dealership issue not a nitro issue. If you have damage on the boat from shipping straps why in the world would you accept the boat that way, didn't you inspect the boat before buying? Screws are going to back out of any bass boat, that's just part of owning a bass boat and is such a minor, and easily fixed issue it's not worth complaining about. You paid at least 5 grand less for your boat than any other manufacturers similar model so a few minor issues along the way seems like a small consulation to me.

There's about a 99% chance what you're seeing are alewives which are in several new York lakes and were probably spread to the lake u fish through someone's bait bucket.

Hopefully FLW bans it in the everstarts and BASS bans it in the opens next. how can you say something is "just another lure" when it's clearly not.. its FIVE lures.. if you watched the last FLW tour event you would see it can also be 12 lures.. it's insane to be tossing out 5 or more lures on one rod and think "its just another tool" get real. maybe ill make some rig that can hold 5 frogs and throw it on the potomac and see if the same clowns who love the Arig think that is also "just another lure"

You or I can enter an FLW tour event if we had a legal boat and enough money. You actually have to qualify for the B.A.S.S elite series.

I've heard people on the three rivers in pittsburgh talk about catching a regular mouth bass and laugh about it once. i assume they were talking about the same thing we are. made me chuckle once i realized what they were probably talking about

thats just your average run of the mill smallmouth.... maybe its slightly bigger than most where you fish but it is a pure smallmouth no doubt about that.

6lbs would have been a lot more beleivable if you didn't take the photo from the bottom showing how not really that fat the fish is. but again you said its 6 so it is. tight lines folks. peace out

I know there are guys out there who would do just fine fishing the elite series but they don't have the money to enter a season of opens to attempt to qualify there's no disputing that. If your fishing the elite series or the FLW tour in your early 20's i garauntee it wasn't talent alone that got you there new bass boats, dozens of 200 dollar rods and reels, and thousands upon thousands in entry fee's and gas money doesn't grow on trees I'm certainly with you on that one. By the way my horse is pretty short.

Its not that hard if you take the time to examine the photo. no way to be sure from a photo but you can make an educated guess. The fish in your avatar is probably 4lbs and from the looks of it you are in the potomac somewhere. I guess being realistic is something to be ridiculed for so I apologize for ruining your day

look at everyone on this forums PB. Almost everyone says their personal best is 7-8 lbs and there's a 99% chance that 99% of us are not telling the truth about that, maybe some of us beleive that but didn't weigh the fish or maybe most of our scales are not correct. Go to some high level bass tournaments all over the country and you will see hundreds of fish get weighed in by some extremely talented bass anglers and the biggest bass in the tournament usually isn't 7 or 8 pounds. There are several elite series anglers who have never caught an 8lb bass until the began touring the country and going to Texas and Florida.

being that you are from Kansas I'm guessing you know him personally. I'm sure he's a great fisherman. I'm not exactly a beginner myself. Didn't try to ruin a "fun" thread either.. the original poster seems to be the only one not getting all riled up here. The point of my original post was to assure him that was not a record fish and to not worry about it but some of you seem to get more upset when someone makes fun of your bass than you would your wives or children.. geeesh. insecure much?? I'm fun to fish with by the way and act nothing like the "know it all" your accusing me of being. I'm not barking up anyone's tree ya'll are barking up my tree. I made a simple post unrelated to any of you except the original poster(whom I might add did not get angry like all of you) and you all got immediately defensive about it.

show me where I said it Couldn't come from Kansas. The post I was referring to,, if you actually read it,, was about several fish.. not just one. I'm sure there are multiple 10 lbers in Kansas I know folks who have caught them I was simply saying,,, again if you actually read the posts,, that is is highly unlikely for one person to have caught all those large fish in Kansas unless they go out a hundred times a year lobbing big swimbaits around hoping for one big bit.................. And your guess would be wrong by the way.

I'm also not claiming it weighs more than it does. It just happened to be the only fish pic on my laptop when I made this account. You can take a picture of a 5 and make it look like an 8 pretty easily. The fish in my picture only weights 3 and a half pounds or so. Catching a 9lber in new hampshire is certainly possible but catching a bunch of them is IMPOSSIBLE. I've caught several 5+ fish in PA but I'm not trying to tell everyone I've caught 10 8lbers because of it. "Yes, I've seen plenty of fish weighed on real scales, including my PB of over 10 pounds, 1 over 9, 2 over 8, and several over 7." say that to most people and then follow it up by "I live in Kansas and all these fish are from Kansas" and a lot of people are going to think your not telling the truth unless you have been fishing 100 times a year for 20 years. maybe its true who knows.. maybe his scale told him that and it was wrong.. maybe he's the luckiest angler in Kansas... maybe he's the greatest angler ever and he should be fishing tournaments...... maybe its a complete load of BS.... only he knows but i garauntee you make that statement to ten people and 9 of them will be thinking in their heads not a chance.

I have an EXTREMELY hard time beleiving any of what you just said if you want us to beleive those fish are all from Kansas. but hey whatever helps you sleep at night.
