I've heard a lot about them but never used them, anyone else fish with them?

yes. one of my favorite swimbaits,just started using them this year in shad and bluegill color.i have the 4 and 6 inchers, proper paddletail

I fish the 7" mostly. These days I am using the Gloomis SWBR 955C or the 956C. I use either a Cardiff 300 (955) or the Calcutta 400 (956). 20lb CXX on the 300, 25 on the 400.

Usually I fish them midcolumn on a straight retrieve. Think spinnerbait. The rest of the time, I pitch them.

Ok...for me, could you please tell me what type of action those rods have.  I have no clue what those rods are that you mentioned...sorry for the hassle :(

One of my favorite baits. I've caught fish almost everywhere there has been decent clarity. I usually go with the 5" around here.

I had one of my best days ever last year on Guntersville with one.

...... and don 't forget about getting a bottle of Mend It, you are going to need it !

They do tear like other soft plastics but between Mend-It and melting them I got over 30 fish on one bait last year including some mean smallmouth.
