weight of 6" roboworm?

Featured Replies

I am wondering what size shakey head I should order if I want to cast it  with my core 50/ mbr 842 combo instead of a spinning outfit.

Oooh.............

Might be my favorite rig! The Roboworm

weighs about the same as a Senko. You

can cast it weightless if you like. Otherwise,

I suggest 3/8 oz Shak-E2.

8-)

I just weighed a 6" straight tail Roboworm and it weighs almost NOTHING at .1oz.

A 5" Yamamoto Senko weighs .4oz which is why it casts so well weightless.

.1oz is not equal to .4oz :(

Since the Roboworm is so light take Road Warrior's advice and use a 3/8oz.  Look at the specs on your rod and see what the lightest weight you can throw on it.  You might get by with a 1/4 oz.

1/4 ounce is as small as I can go so looks like 1/8 ounce shakeyheads are out of the question. Thanks for the help.

try a 1/4 oz spot remover, those 6" robos got some nice weight to em.

I must be getting the wrong Roboworms because I can tell a noticable difference when I switch from a zoom finesse worm to a 6" straight tail Roboworm.  It is much lighter than the finesse worm.  RW could you be talking about the 6" Fat Robo?

I cast the 4 1/2" on a 3/16 shakey head without a problem with my Alpha/Zillion combo but a 1/4oz head is pretty well all you need.
