ziploc baggies instead of packaging?

Featured Replies

wondering if anyone uses ziploc baggies instead of the manufacturer packaging on plastics?  for instance, i have 3 or 4 bags of the same worm but they take up too much room seperately.  are the manufactures packaging "better" than regular plastic bags?? :-/

Yeah, I have some satchels I use for soft plastics that basically keep special ziploc bags on a 2 ring binder.  I've never had any problem with it, especially since nowadays they don't drench everything in anise oil.

I have another post in this forum regarding Ragetail baits.  Those apparently should be kept in the the original packaging because they have a plastic clamshell inside the bag to keep the tails the way they should be.  Other than those however, I think you're fine using ziplocs.

when i fish from the bank i always take 4 or so of each type plastic i plan on using and put in their own zip loc baggie.  except for the RAGE plastics.  they stay in their original.  sounds like same plan...

i do put some megastrike in each baggie...to keep fresh and slick them up.

;)

I use the freezer ziplocks for storage at home. They are thicker and have a write-on surface, and come in various sizes.

The freezer Ziplocs are fine. I don't know if they're any better or worse than the manufacturers' bags.

i use them, they work great. they have yet to fail me, so i will continue to use them until they fail me.
