Air Bubble Under The Surface Of Bass Skin

Featured Replies

I ran into a fisherman yesterday while i was out fishing and he was telling me he caught a big bass the day before, around 7# and he described to me about how the bass had  an air bubble or air pocket under the surface of its skin that moved from one side of the fish to the other,he said he released it and it just hung around his boat for awhile.I have heard about bass having an air bladder and how you have to poke it somewhere to release the air or it will die. From what he described is this the problem this bass had?

The air bladder isn't under the skin, unless you believe the body cavity inside the rib cage is only skin deep.

More then likely someone is seeing stomach contents moving.
