Fenwick Hmx Spinning Rods

I've got a few Fenwick spinning rods.  I like them.  I think mine are HMG though.  I don't know the difference.

In the past I have used the Eagle GT, HMX, and the HMG. I have enjoyed the HMX and HMG the most and they are great all purpose rods.  I do not think you will be disappointed at all.

IMHO, If you like the Fenwick line which I do, look for a new [if you can find one] or used Techna AV and buy that.

I know you won't be disappointed.

:thumbsup3: I can't say enough about Fenwick. Great rods that won't break the bank

Never really looked into Fenwick, but that is a nice rod for the money. My stepdad swears by Fenwick. I may have to look into the HMX. The 6'8" MH sounds intriguing.

@BAssfisherman94 - I have Fenwick rods from the Techna, HMG and World Class lines. The new HMX, with the split grip (Half cork/half TAC) is my newest and is pretty awesome.  I was surprised, to be honest.  It's not like the old HMX.  Also, I've dealt with Fenwick customer service on two separate occasions and they were fantastic. I can't imaging you'd be disappointed.  $20 off is a great deal too.

P.S. My drop shot rod is a 7' M HMG.

I love my Elite Tech Smallmouth spinning and casting rods, and the HMX was very nice for the price but 2 weeks ago I got to use my friends new HMX. The one he got was like $80 on sale, it was a 7' medium light fast action and I have to admit, it felt great in hand and it surprisingly wasn't tip heavy, very well balanced for a sub $100 rod. If I was in the market for a rod like that and not knowing what the price was, I'd have no trouble paying $100 for that rod, Fenwick has really done a nice job with these rods, nothing fancy, just solid builds with great performance.

Thanks everyone! I'm going to get one tonight!

Let us know which model you get.  I have 2 Elite Tech Smallmouth casting rods...thanks to smalljaw talking me into them...2 Techna AV casting rods, a RiverRunner spinning rod, an older HMG casting rod and a glass spinning rod that is over 40 years old.  Fenwick may not be the latest, greatest sensation on the market, but in my eyes they make a quality rod at a fair price.  I feel certain you will enjoy that rod for many years to come.
