Dang Carp And Catfish...

Featured Replies

We went fishing for a few hours on Mothers day and I was throwing a KVD 1.5 along some rocks and it stopped and this fish started ripping offline and running hard I thought here is the 10 pounder we have been after it does another hard run right out tearing off more line.  He then comes up out of the water and we see it is a carp about 10 pounds....ahh yes so close..lol  He fought like a train though was at least fun for a while until figured out it was a carp..On wen I was out with a friend in the same area and once again set the line and it runs and I thought it was a 10 pounder and it was a big catfish hooked in the tail...

I know it's not a bass, but I hope you enjoyed the fight. Most times I don't care what I catch. I just like the excitement of having a fish on my line....especially a big one.

Think of it as practice for when you do get a hook into a 10# Bass...

Yea it did fight hard after a while my brother said man that pulls hard I said here and gave him the rod....he did bend the hooks on the kvd 1.5.

Them carp have a lot of fight in them. I really enjoy catching them, never caught one on a crank though.
