Help Me Pick Out A Spinning Reel....

Featured Replies

i am looking for recommendations a higher end reel i can buy used in the $50-100 range and rebuild with new bearings and and any other worn parts like the curado.

i need multiple size offerings, common with plenty of used ones on the market, and good support from the manufacturer.

For that price range id look for an older model stradic.

I've got a Daiwa Tierra 2500 in the flea market. I don't think there would be any issues getting parts or support in the event it's needed

Absolutely !

There is no need to rebuild a spinning reel that's in good working order.  For 50 bucks or so you can get a new sedona or president that's going to be smooth and should perform well for many years.  I've got quite a few sub $100 reels that have been going strong for years, all sizes of fish in both fresh and saltwater with no more than drop of oil every now and then.
