Who Makes Academy H2O Hardbaits??

Featured Replies

I figured this would be the place to ask. Seems a lot of folks on here are throwing them. How's the hardware on them? Good, bad, ugly?

I just recently picked a few up cause they look great for the price.  I have only thrown the deep diver and it ran straight but had very little wobble. Looks good and dives straight, I will give it another shot this week.

I believe they're a pradco product.

Not a clue who makes them, but they are good baits. I like a few of their color selections, but feel they could do better.

As for the hooks, they are top notch. They have the heavy duty VMC hooks. Super sharp and they last a long time

The LCR cranks look very similar to Spro Aruku shad.

This is what i believe also. the H2O squarebill looks very similar to Excalibur. Here are some comparison pics. See if you can distinguish between the 2 before looking at the last picture

The lipless cranks also looks very similar to the Excalibur

I was wondering about there hollow body frogs????

Like the LCRs, the frogs look very similar to Spro frogs.

They are made in Guangzhou, Guangdong (sp) China by an OEM who makes lures for many "brands".

They are packaged almost identical to the way an Excalibur product is.

Pretty sure that the factory Pradco owns over there. They build baits for about every company but Strike King and Megabass. I'm told they inject some of the lucky craft baits there, even. This one I have no first hand knowledge of, however.
