I love to fish swimsenkos. For me, they are very productive. I find that when I set the hook and bring in the fish, the swimsenko rarely gets pulled up with the fish. In other words, 1 swimsenko per fish. I rig them T-rigged or Florida rigged with a 1/16 bullet sinker. Is there a way to rig these so I still get a little depth and have a less likely chance of ripping the worm off with my hooksets? keeper hook or twistlock doesn't seem to make much difference either when I use them.

I throw them as a chatterbait trailer.  With that application, they last through a lot of fish.

They last forever for me. The first pack I bought a few years ago still has 9 in it. The first on I tried had no tail action whatsoever.

Apparently you need some weight on the rig and I prefer a Shadalicious or Powerbait hollow swimbait anyway. Maybe I just got some duds.

No, the bait is designed to be fished with a 1/4 oz

bullet weight. The weight transfers energy to the

tail. The action is more subtle than some other

small swimbaits, but very effective.

I use them a lot down here in my neck of the woods. I use a 4/0 or a 5/0 ewg depending on what I've got around at the time. 1/4 oz screw in weight or pegged bullet weight. I usually get anywhere from three to five fish per lure. Easily one of my favorite baits. I've actually taken an extra rod and rigged it up specifically to use them now. Watermelon w/black flake has been a solid color choice. I'll also throw a blue pearl w/silver flake on really bright days in open water when bass are chasing schools of baitfish.

Try them on one of these in the 1/4 oz. 5/0 size. Just make sure you get them straight on the hook. You didn't hear it from me. :-X
