I have am *** 7'1 m I use for fishing weightless flukes and weightless worms.  I absolutely love it.  This was my first rod I tied up any money in so I cant really compare it to others, but for me I am very pleased with it.  Paired it with a Shimano Chronarch.

I heard so many good things about these rods.  I need to try one out soon.

Bought a 7'3" Medium from "Silas".  Only been to the river twice to practice with it.  It casts great 2-handed, but 1-hand casting seemed to not be as smooth as I remembered it to be with other rods.  "Silas" later told me he had the same problem.  Luckily I use 2 hands most of the time so it won't affect me whereas "Silas" said he normally cast with one hand.  Curious as to whether or not any others have come to the same conclusion.

Need to get on a lake to find out if it feels as sensitive to me as others claim the Black to be.  So far I am liking the rod...except for the 1-hand casting aspect.

That's interesting about the 1 hand casting. Why is that? That definitely wouldn't work for me!

I have the 7'3 H for frogs. For a $100-120 it can't be beat. Unless something better can be bought on sale or used. My only complaint is if you fish with just your pinky below the trigger it starts to hurt in between your fingers. At least it does for me but I also have fat fingers. They're true to their power rating. Look really good. Also pretty light and sensitive. That being said I'll end up owning another one.

Best 100 dollar rod.

Next 20% off sale I'll probably pick up a couple envys to see how they compare to my KLX/ALX rods.

I will try one-handed some more.  Lot of it could be that I normally use 2 hands and am out of practice.  I did try one hand with another rod with a full cork handle this weekend, and had better control of that rod.

However, "Silas" casts mostly one handed (and fishes a lot more often than me), so it can't all be my fault.  I'm sure we don't all hold the rod exactly the same way.

same problem with me, I can bomb a 3/8 oz spinnerbait with the 7'1 MH a mile with it with two hands though

I originally picked up a *** 6'7 m/f for jerkbaits which I only really fish Pre spawn. Ended up giving it a go for flukes and is now 1 of my favorite rods hands down. Best $100 I ever spent on something fishing related. If someone came to me today and bought all my rods off me I'd seriously consider buying 10 of them to cover all techniques.

I am not trying to turn this into a versus thread but I been wondering how does it compare to a St Croix Premeir?  Anyone have both that could give me a comparison?  I have 2 Premiers but have been contemplating trying out one of these rods.  I hear nothing but good things about them.  Unfortunatley, no place around here carry the Omens so I cant fondle it in person.  I am strictly a 1 arm caster so that kind of worries me too.

I have both same length and action however the premier is a spinning rod and *** casting. Imo the blank is much more sensitive. Better guides and reel seat. *** is prob equivalent to mist $250 rods.

I have an ***. It is a great rod in terms of build and quality, but it is not as sensitive as I would like. My Irod Air and Dobyn's both blow it away. To be honest, my Abu Garcia Villain does too. Now these are all more expensive rods, but I am just giving you my honest opinion. They are build very very well and would make great reaction rods.

i have both the *** and the premier in MHF. both are great rods!

the *** is a little more sensitive, lighter, more comfy and more stiff than the premier imho.

I use them both every time I am on the water. you cant go wrong with either.

the one arm casting thing I think is most people getting used to the omens blank. I was alittle off ( to the left) at first with my *** but after a dozen or so casts I was right back on the money
