I know Chartreuse has its time and place(murky,stained water)

Even with that being the case,does anyone ever throw a Charteuse soft plastic for the heck of it on bright days in clear water with success?

Yep.  It works in clear water too.  Smallies dig chartreuse.

Yeah, I have dragonflies in my area with chartreuse stripes on their backs, so that color works all the time.

Let me start out saying that all the lakes i fish have clear water. A 4" chart. shad Kinami Flash is my favorite  "senko" bait, no matter what the weather or season. I'll buy off - brand in a similar color for weighted wacky, but t-rigs must be Kinami or GYCB. I'll buy white senkos and color the top with a chartruese marker when i run out of flashs .(?) Funny how i don't like chartruese in hardbaits though....

The all chartreuse Rage Toad has produced for me at some seriously weird times. Now whenever I have my topwater setup with me, I'll throw it, no matter the conditions.

I don't have any clear water, but my best Senko is a chartreuse with green, gold and black flakes.

Im not a big chartreuse fan, I don't normally buy chartreuse baits but I do have chartreuse JJs if I wanna add some color.  One of the lakes back home is really clear and it seems to work there pretty well
