Did You Survive The Holiday Sales?

Ok what did you buy?

I purchased,

New Jigs in all sizes and colors from Siebert along with some plastics too.

New Spinning Rods.

I won a double prop 2" long crankbait in a frog pattern that I never seen before. These different patterns just hook me.

I think I placed nine orders for new jigs. I have more tackle in my tackle room than most mom & pop bait shops have but I hardly have any jigs. I want to do more jig fishing with a crankbait rod. I have the drop offs to fish from shore too. Plus the cover and weeds for swim jigs.

I'm also into the size and color thing for all my lures.

Spinning rods and casting rods I found very affordable I really didn't need any but down the road if I don't buy them now they will cost me tripple later. I'm buying different rods for around $70 for four or five Shakespeare, Johnson, & zebco rods. The zebco rods look and feel great. Even the shakespeare stuff has come along way over my older Shakespeare equipment.

Over a dozen new jigs and probably a dozen new trailers.. Some crawfish, creatures and swimbait.

Went ahead and refilled some of my terminal tackle too.

Is it bad that I spent more on fishing supplies in 2 days than I did on groceries in August?

Jigs - Ordered the Bassresource "special" jigs from Siebert Outdoors.  Looking to put these to the test this weekend if they get here in time for my tourney.

Jigs, trailers, a Powell Max 733C, more trailers and craws.

I think thats all.....

6 R2S Spittin' Wa frogs - 3 of each size 55 & 70

2 Spro Baby Fat John 50 cranks

2 packs of Owner Hyper Wire split rings

1 pack of #6 Gammy EWG trebles

Getting back to your original question.  Did I survive the sales?

The answer is no, I did not.  This is my ghost writing this.  When I got the bill for all my purchases, I had a heart attack and died.

Our local Dicks Sporting Goods had Berkley powerbait twitchtails for $1.48 a pack all colors. Needless to say i wont be needing any for awhile...

Well I tell my misses I could be at the bar drinking it? Or at the casino throwing it away yet I'm ahead there but not hooked. Or chasing women which I'm too old to run.

So that leaves me my fishing tackle which isn't a bad hobby. I am addicted to good looking equipment and lures. Fishing is my passion.

The plastic I pay off every month. I haven't gone hog wild yet......

I may have went overboard. I worked almost 45 hours OT in August, so I spoiled myself.

Dobyns Champion Extreme 745

Dobyns Champion 733

Tatsu line

Hats

Jigs

Plastics

Cranks

I had to hit the BPS on the way home from a family vacation.

A few jigs

couple of trailers

Power Pro

Invizx

some hooks

various weights

Yum Dingers

rod covers

Baught some new trailers, zoom speed craws or something, not impressed with them but I caught fish on them anyway lol. Got a tube of original megastrike scent and I like it... alot.

I survived, but my bank account took some damage. Between the holiday sales and my first paycheck from my new job it was the perfect storm for a tackle splurge. Ended up with a new baitcasting combo, a new spinning combo, some swimbaits, some cranks, and a pack of horny toads.

New Duckett White Ice, 15 jigs from Siebert. Also sold some stuff so I got some extra cash burning a hole in my pocket..

I purchased about $100 worth of gear; mostly soft plastics and punching gear. I did purchase an Abu Garcia Revo SX Gen2 at Walmart for $74

I bought a baby hardgill for $50 shipped.
