Has anyone used any of the Trigger x products?

Featured Replies

Our local tiny fishing store just got a make-over and now they actually carry more than trout equipment and senco's.  They had a bunch of different items in the Trigger X line.  I read it over and grabbed a few items.  Anyone have any insight?  THanks in advance.

I have used their creature baits and stickbaits (senko-style) of the old individually-packaged-in-liquid type.  They were G-A-R-B-A-G-E.

The new ones that come in a regular resealable package and are dry, are actually pretty good.  Not the softest baits I've used, but they're durable, they catch fish, and they've worked when nothing else did (even YUM Dingers!).  Will I buy more? Maybe the PB&J stickbaits, but that's about it.  The bass in a lake near me LOVE that color and I haven't seen one quite like that from any other manufacturer, so for me, those particular ones work well.

I grabbed a pack of there flukes in a dark green and fished them awhile today. No takers but the bite had all but quit. There built a little heavier than Zooms and have a recessed belly for the hook. They should catch fish, just not today. :'(

I picked some of the tubes up today at Wal-mart for $2 a pack.  After reading the other thread I wanted to actually try them out for myself.  Went out earlier and started with a jig, had one about a pound take it on the first cast and then another bite that didn't hookup.  Decided to try the tubes out, started with an internal tube weight on a 2/0 ewg, first cast this little guy smoked it

Two more on within about 15 mins that were "quick released" one about a pound, the other around 2.  Lost that tube, rigged another and this one hit in about 12' of water and 20-25 yards out.  Kept me on bottom the whole way in and went under a rock, thought I was hung but she came darting out after a minute or so still chomping on the tube.

The thing that impressed me the most was the hits I got.  I was using a 7'M F&S TechSpec rod and 12lb XL and the bites were just massive, harder than they have felt on my Zillion rod with FC, these fish wanted that tube.  The sensitivity in this rod is lacking, it's a $50 rod, but the bites were unmistakable.  I feel that it was, atleast in part, due to the pheromones and scent.  At 2 bucks a pop, really worth the buy, original price not so much, just my 2 cents.

i think i want to now.

yeah I bought them at 2 bucks a pack at wal mart (The ones that are in their own sent pack) I bought 6 packs of tubes and 10 packs of flukes... I have caught fish on the tubes and caught a LOT of fish on the flukes.. but the area I was fishing the flukes at I always kill them there on flappin shads and pretty much any type of Pearl color fluke type baits. So who knows about the sent but they are tough and catch fish.. I have a lot left and I would buy more at 2 bucks a pack but I wouldnt pay more then 2 dollars a pack.

??????????????????????????????????????????

It's the only Lizard I'll use on a Carolina Rig, it floats so very well......... :)

unfortunately yes. I thought they were all hype. Basicaly what they are is individualy packed gulp that dries out faster and breaks apart easier. Good thing I only paid $2 for the pack

I've used them on Bedding Fish Last Year and the Fish turned there Nose on it and swam away .They are an eye catcher? Glad somebody caught something.
