BassAssassins14 Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 (edited) Kade AndersonContact information available upon requestTo Whom it May Concern,Who Am I?My name is Kade Anderson. I was born on November 2, 1998 in AZ. I am the oldest child out of three. I have a sister and a brother. My true hobby is bass fishing. My most favorite technique when bass fishing would be throwing a shallow diving crank bait or throwing a simple drop shot. Those are my strengths. I am also pretty good at throwing Texas rigs and jigs. I Absolutly love doing it! I fish at least three times a week. I have a boat at a local pond by my house. This is where I test any fishing lure. I have helped the community when I was in National Junior Honor Society in 8th grade. What I can do for your company? It would be my pleasure to promote your product. I will promote your products at every possible opportunity via daily contacts at launch ramps, in tackle/equipment stores, tournament weigh ins, web based interactions and special functions. My plan would be to test and fish your product. While doing this i would promote your product to the public. I would encourage anyone to buy your product. Your product sales would go up. This would not only help promote your product but also get your business more well known in the bass fishing world.Current sponsorships?I do not have any current sponsorships. I have worked a little with Dave's Custom Baits. I am working hard to help out at any local fishing shops such as Cabelas and Sportsmen's Warehouse.Employment?I am currently unemployed. In the past I had worked for my uncle doing yard work. Occasionally I go around the neighborhood doing yard work for people.Education?I am in 9th grade and go to Cactus High School currently. I have been on honor roll for every year of my schooling. I am an A and B student. At my old school honor roll started at 4th grade and I have had it for every year since. I try my hardest to always exceed at my schooling.Clubs?I am currently in a local club called Phoenix Junior Bass masters. I am in the 15-18 age group. I am currently fishing 5 tournaments a year. Every year my mom, my dad, and me put a CD full of pictures for the club. This is my first real year in the club. I joined half way through the year last year. My last tournament was September 15, 2013. Currently I have no big accomplishments in the club. I can't wait for this year so I can change that! I am planning on getting Angler of the Year in my club which is the biggest accomplishment. I also want to make the state team.My plan for fishing this year?I plan on fishing some local tournaments with a fishing buddy of mine. I hope to come out on top for some of them, but that is yet to be determined.Thank You for Your Time,Kade AndersonContact information available upon request Edited September 28, 2013 by Glenn Confidential information removed Quote

Super User David P Posted October 3, 2013 Super User Posted October 3, 2013 This is by means meant to discourage you or crush any dreams of yours, but rather to work harder, get a few tournament results, and establish yourself more before you begin to search for sponsors. You don't want to acquire just any sponsor because they're willing to give you free or cheap stuff, you want to be picky and selective for companies that you already use their stuff... For companies you truly believe in. So many kids are just out there to get a sponsor to say they have one. You don't want to stock pile "crappy" deals and then down the road have to leave them for companies that are better. That won't give you a good name. Any kid can promote products online, at the dock, in a fishing shop... Anyone can talk about a product, but that doesn't mean... 1) People take your advice and suggestions. OR 2) That you're good enough to put what you know to the test and win tournaments. Results are important! Fish tournaments, do well and be able to show off your body of work, and then go about the sponsor aspect. BE PICKY, you're young. Best of luck, and I hope you don't take this negatively... It's meant more to be motivation and steer you toward tournament fishing. 2 Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted October 10, 2013 Super User Posted October 10, 2013 Just for a little positive feedback (admittedly rare from me), it seems you put some effort into writing this up. You seem excited when talking about your club too. Put that energy into becoming the best you can be and also helping your club be the best it can be. Like David said, you've got plenty o' time. 3 Quote

Agreed, you've put forth a better effort here than most of the other posts in the sponsor section. At age 14 you've got a bright future! Strive to do well in school and start looking at colleges that have fishing teams/clubs and aim your sights on the higher prize. 1 Quote

CDMeyer Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Hey buddy I am young to (18) and I tried like you were to get a sponsor for so long and never got one. So I just went out and fished and let them come to me, it might be hard to do this because it seems like you need one and I know you really want one, but remain patient and go out and win that Angler if the year. See what win it last year points wise and make that your goal. A sponsor wants success and until I was able to do that ( win our state championship) I did not have one. Go out and get it Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Keep in mind that Pro (insert sport here) is really about advertising and marketing. The competition is really secondary. It's just a way to raise the competitor's profile which is what makes their endorsement valuable. Keep getting good grades, study marketing and maybe conservation or fisheries biology. Get comfortable with public speaking and network constantly getting your name and face as recognizable as possible. While you're working toward your ultimate goal, sponsor yourself. Mow lawns, wash boats, deliver newspapers anything you can to make a few bucks you can invest in your education and fishing. It costs money to make money. 1 Quote
