Lgmouth what do think of Rovingmutts design? I like it. Are you a carpenter mutt?

I was thinking of making one, but Im gonna make it so that every inch is really 1/2". I figure that's the only way we Southern boys are gonna beat those Yankees, lol.

Hey Mutt, I really like that. You should seal it so the water and slime coat of the fish doesn't get sucked in. Its bad enough we got people laying the fish in sand, rocks, and everything else that is going to cause harm to the fish eventually. Im just saying.

I figured you would like it since you have been trying to find a better "fish friendly" design.

Lol no Lou I wish 4 fish amounted to 94"

Couldn't go to my spot unfortunately

I don't understand people's obsession when driving and they see either an officer giving a ticket or a car accident they feel the need to slow down and cause a traffic build up for miles and miles during rush hour. I've never understood that or how there is traffic for that matter on a straight road!

Since you said we are going on an honor system, I post with what is given to me, and that's what you said to us.

No one else was confused. Everyone is posting just fine. This time around you are having technical difficulties with your pics.

Right 9.3# fish sure beat my PB.

I get all proud of myself when I catch a 17" 2-3# bass. I'm definitely minor league. LoL

My daughters think I am pro! Ha!

Yeah my two older ones will go sometimes mostly just fishing with bread balls. My youngest is only 2 so she has got some time left. My 9 y/o was just telling me a few days ago that she wants to use different bait to "catch the fish that I catch."

LOL that's why I love it when the kids go :D.  Tyler is 10 and can fish wacky rigged worms and he caught the last one on a swim bait.  He is a great caster.  Kayla is 8 just learned to cast and she usually fishes with a wacky rigged worm.  I think she may have tried a swim bait this weekend but didn't catch anything.

I couple bites today on the swim bait and a few boils in the evening on the Rage toad but no hook sets. I had one, a solid 10lb plus fish go after a swim bait as soon as it hit the water like a beast but she missed it. I saw at least 25 inches of color turn on that thing when it hit the water.

I'm tellin you it's tough up here in G'ville! They just dont quite want it like they do in Orlando.

I got out for a bit after work yesterday then the rain started to get a little too heavy for my liking to keep fishing. Missed 2 bites during the maybe 45 mins I was out there.  While i was out there 3 kids/teens showed up and were buzzing frogs, said they were after snakeheads.  I didn't see them catch anything either, so I didn't feel to bad.

Where do you usually fish?

We have found a couple new spots to try locally but we have no time lol. I am hoping to get out Thursday. This weekend we are headed to Daytona Beach/Port Orange to lay some flooring for my parents and do some wedding chores so I want to work some time in but have NO idea where to go. Everything online is geared to saltwater. We saw a few potential places last month but who knows. I was kicking myself last month cause there was a nice spot behind our caterer's in Orlando but we had nothing on us. If anyone knows the area DB/PO please help a girl out :).

Where do you usually fish?

Last night I was at Hillsboro blvd and 39th ave

Usually fish margate Coral Springs coconut creek and Deerfield. I live near sample and 441 so anywhere within a few minutes of home.

I went out last night, had to run to Walmart at 12am so I stopped by this pond up the street for 3 casts, I was tired lol. On my second cast I hook into something she felt big but I have caught smaller ones that felt like giants. I was feelin her in she stayed submerged and then I feel nothing. I reel in and thankfully it wasn't my knot and I got my hook back, only have couple left lost frog though. I cast out one last time then I left.

Was going to head out this morning but sleep always wins

I think Im gonna try and hit a spot if the weather is good this afternoon. I have caught some good fish there, and I need to apparently get some better numbers. Sunday was fun and caught plenty of fish, but now its time to get some kickers!
