I need some help you guys on deciding on a legend or a ranger

 

Kick some tires and ride them around, no one can decide what's right for you.

I know man, I just want to knows on ya'll opinion on them. I know ranger makes a good boat from top to bottom and I like the way the legend looks I just don't know much about it yet

Ranger!! My buddy has a Z520C and holy cow... we hit close to 80 MPH top speed lol. we take huge u turns going 65 MPH. oh and you can fish from it lol

Im leaning towards ranger right now myself fishguy613... It has always been my dream boat but I just don't know yet.

Legend sponsors my tournament trail. Their boats are beautiful, and being a semi custom boat has its benefits. They can be a little "tippy" with 2 guys fishing on the same side of the boat. Ranger makes cookie cutter boats that are well made, well designed, and very fishable. They probably hold their value better than any other bass boat manufactured. You can always add custom touches to either boat. I looked at both brands along with Phoenix and Charger, and bought none of the above. Take a ride in both boats, see which layout suits you best and go from there.

I can only speak on Ranger. I have a 2000 that I bought last year. The boat has been everything I wanted and more. No compartments leak, the fiberglass is in great shape, all lights, pumps, etc. work like new. The one single thing I dislike about it is, theirs no factory cup holder in the boat. That's a small complaint. It fishes great, and is very stable at speed and while fishing. If someone handed me 60 grand for a boat I wouldn't hesitate to get a Ranger. If a Ranger wasn't an option, I would get a Pheonix

I see T Bend as one of your favorite lakes.. You'll have to come take a ride in my Phoenix 920. I've ran rangers since '94 and this year I was ready for s change. After riding in all of them I narrowed it down to Phoenix, legend, and basscat. In the end Phoenix stole my heart lol the legend and the basscat were just to narrow for me

I have never owned a glass boat, and probably never will, they are just too much $$ for me, so I'll stick with aluminum. BUT I have been around a lot of glass boats, and Rangers are the only glass boats I see that at 15-20 years old are still rock solid. Of coarse it depends on the guy who owns it some, but if I ever buy a used glass boat it will be a Ranger.

Honestly check out a phoenix, they're better in just about every way to me. They take rough water very well yet they're stable and don't rock like a champion and they're fast

I can not compare because I have owned Rangers since 1974. An execllent fishing platform.

Sounds like you are looking into a new boat. Regardless if used or new there are a TON of reasons to get a Ranger other then rangers being very dry, solid built and riding boats. After visiting the factory It is the SAME people making the boats and trailers and most for over 15 years some over 30 years. That in its self speaks alot about the company. Even if you need a seat from a 2001 ranger you can get it, Issue with the hatches breaking? 1999 Ranger no issue. They are truly a model that every company should strive to be and yes i know how cheesy that sounds...
