Noticed there were more than a few guys in the Memphis area on this forum so I thought I'd throw may hat in the ring.  I've started fishing again as a way to get my 14 yr old son off the video games and back outside.  Lots of small lakes in the area to try out and the site has already been a big help.

Hey Pater. Ditto for me and my Collierville kids. I only beat you to the site by a few days. My wife is much more understanding when my kids are with me in tow to a fishing hole!

Thanks Jeff.  I've hit a couple of the smaller lakes around town, including the one behind City Hall, Herb Parsons, Johnson Park, and the #1 lake in Rossville.  Haven't had a whole lot of success but am enjoying getting out again.  My mother-n-law has a cabin on KY lake.  We've got a couple SOT kayaks that we're using and it's really opened up our access.

My daughter's 15 so getting her to spend time with us means we're just taking her and her friends somewhere.  My son's a little better but his patience can be a little on the short side.  If I can get him on the fish he'll sit out there all day.

My friends and i are looking to do some different beside living in the city life.we want to find good lakes and a little isolated from the city to fish but not too far from memphis/shelby area .
