J.J.'s Magic

Featured Replies

So, how do you get the smell off of your fingers?!

I bought a bottle today at the Florida Sportsman's Show, and I decided to carry it instead of placing it in a bag with other items.

It leaked a tiny bit while I was holding it, and now my hands smell like chicken cacciatore on steroids.   :'(

Keep some rubber gloves handy for working with JJ's.

(Ancient American Secret)  Soak your hands in Vodka for an hour or two with lemon or lime juice added. No joke gets rid of the worst scent even bad foot odor. Also doubles as a great drink. 8-)

Try some vinegar..

Just a good old hand washing does the trick for me.  It may remain slightly, but I just wear it off after I wash my hands.

Wash it off?

That wonderful garlic smell?

I love it.

When I open the jars the smell is heaven.

Of course, I cook Cajun style and use a lot of garlic so I love the smell.

Wish I could use it as a cologne.  :)   ;)   :)

Here's my trick.

Soap and water.

Must have some pretty stout soap up your way.

Either that or you have an extra hour or three to wash your digits after fishing.

I can still smell it a little, and I had hot wings for lunch (and no they weren't garlic flavored).

Tomato Juice removes skunk smell from dogs but you have to bathe them in it for 20 minutes or so...

I just usually wash my hands with bleach then with dish soap, I don't have any JJ's magic, but it always gets the fishy smell off my hands.  I'd rather smell like bleach than fish  :)
