Anywhere you can get away with using something that has treble hooks.  If the fish are on a good topwater bite, they can be a fantastic lure.

I  have had great luck with BPS's now discontinued TopKnocker, even better than the Spook for me. don't understand why they stopped selling them, everybody I have talked to liked 'em.   :-?

I love my spooks but i just got a lunker punker for free. Haven't used it yet but it looks awesome.

Which size punker..also, is the wood, or injected one..?

I have a wood 9" punker, the action is crazy good.. :)

it's the 5" plastic one, it was free when i subscribe to bass angler magazine.
