Offset Hook Point

Trying to find a wide gap hook that has an offset tip, and an offset shank

^ This is an offset circle hook, not what I am looking for but I'm using it to clarify what I mean by offset tip, as there seems to be confusion when looking for these offset point hooks. Is there even a wide gap, offset shank and point worm hook produced? If not, what offset point hook would I use to t rig a worm?

I'm not sure I understand the question, but for T-rigs most guys use 3/0-5/0 EWG Offset Worm Hooks,

or round bend. Some have gone back to straight shank.

Ike raves about the 3* offset of the VMC's he helped design.

What's the point of having an off set point anyway?  I bought some by accident over the summer and I was upset the point was not straight and I could not do my regular Texas Rig.  I almost always look at the hooks closely now to make sure their points are straight.

Plastics fished on small jigheads with exposed hook points will catch flesh more easily if the hook is "curbed" a few degrees.

as stated, VMC offset shank's have 3* hook offset.

It could help, give it a shot, they are cheap.

I'm looking for a wide gap worm hook that has an offset hook point like the picture I posted, and an offset shank aswell. The offset shank would be like a typical worm hook... the offset point, however, not so much it seems.

I read that having the point off-set allows much more room for the fish to grab and get hooked onto than the inline counterpart. Better hook up ratios.

After some research, apparently the point of the hook doesn't have to be turnt off to the side, but the hook needs to be an "offset" hook, making the point of the hook not inline with the eye of the hook... looks like an owner offset shank wide gap worm hook is what I'm looking for now that I realized this.

I bend my drop shot hooks with pliers to get the same slight offset. I "think" it works better. Didnt know any were made that way til this post.

The correct term for a point that is bent to one side is kirbed or reversed, depending on how it hangs :). I don't know of any worm hooks made, and I can't imagine why you'd want that. Its a feature used in hooks used for real bait. While we're at it, an "offset" (kirbed or reversed) circle hook, although quite popular, makes no sense, as it defeats the workings of the circle hook. There are some nutty tuna guys getting custom hooks from Japan and Korea, I'm sure they can make you up anything you can imagine. Or you can just bend the hook with pliers.

Thank you for correcting my spelling.

I fished many of the VMC "Ike" hooks with the 3 degree bend to the point, side by side with "straight" gamakatsu's. Didn't notice any diff. in hook up %, for the better or worse. The VMC's are a little cheaper per hook though (about .55/per hook) than the Gamakatsu's ( approx. .80/per hook), and are just as good of a hook, so I bought VMC's this time when I needed hooks.
